On Consciousness and Matter
The Swedish strenght of opposites: Public Pain and Pleasure are mirrored by two iconic and flawless institutions, the Skatteverket (the Swedish Tax Agency) and Systembolaget (the Swedish Alcohol Retailing Monopoly).
Reciprocity: the moral imperitive to give back Life and Love.
Identity is built on a triad resting on Memory (the past), Awareness (the present) and Expectation (the future). These also emulate the human soul in time.
When reality is uncertain, our own mind is the only inequivocal certainty.
The world is a fascinating riddle, and the universal voice speaks to us in metaphors: every name appears to have the likelihood of being something else, at times no more than a possibility… until we realize that often we hear the voice coming from our unique selves.
On Life
Life is like an onion: after proper peeling you may enjoy the cooking, but only after shedding tears.
There’s always something behind something else. It’s no coincidence. It’s connection.
There’re three phases in a life-time: to live to imitate, to live to please and to live to make your life worth living.
As in a memorial service, every moment in life should remind us to retain the best for all that has been lost.
There is an underlying decision to all we do, aware or neglectful, which we have to take responsibility for. Being part of our ‘free will’, this is perhaps what ultimately makes us humans.
I’ve been there, the road to hell; but, as many before me have found out, there's always a byway…
If you fail hard, try harder.
Even if there is so little new and so much to be forgotten, perhaps something good will merit being remembered.
Personal lives are hardly objective study documents: they simply reflect threads and patterns and their random interplay with process, opportunity and fate.
On Time
The only helpful present is the one you will want to revisit.
Only the present you're aware of makes the past memorable.
… And in the end we may only go back to where we’ve started…
However individual narratives may today seem trivial, they will be collectively decisive in time.
On Wisdom
The universal voice speaks to us in metaphors.
We are unified by wisdom as much as divided by ignorance.
